Three Steps to Superior Customer Service

1. Connect personally.
Remove all distractions so that your entire attention is focused on your customers. This is how they will know that they are your first and foremost priority.

2. Involve your customers.
Ask open-ended questions to generate a dialogue that is balanced and two-sided. If you treat them more as partners, customers will behave as partners with a common goal.

3. Appreciate your customers.
Go beyond a mere “thank you” to show customers that you truly value them. Be specific in your language so they know your appreciation is not scripted but sincere and personal.
